Adding fitness and exercise into my daily routine is essential and seeing all the benefits in my overall health is priceless. So having a schedule, setting goals, and having the proper mindset is key. I’m a mom of two kids so I know that sometimes the schedule can be crazy and busy. So I’m here sharing my fitness routine as well as the equipment and products I use. At the bottom of this post, I will have a FREE downloadable routine that you can printout or save. Woohoo!
Let’s start by setting goals. My goal is to grow muscle mass with definition; but your goals might different: losing weight, running a 5k without stopping, get healthy stable, etc. Set a goal that you really want to achieve and accomplish. By setting goals, I focus on the journey to get to that finish line, and that keeps me motivated; knowing that every day that I exercise is a day that I am getting closer to my fitness goal. What is your goal?
Make a schedule of when are you able to exercise. I workout from my home, because it is convenient and it works with my crazy schedule. If you are going to a gym set a time that you can commit to going, just like a doctor’s appointment. I usually do my workout routine early in the morning, before I wake up my kids to go to school or sometimes after taking them to school.
After setting a time, I encourage you to have a workout plan that would guide you towards your fitness goal. That way every day you know what you need to do and avoid feeling lost or wondering what type of exercise to do. If you have any health conditions, I suggest you go visit your doctor or a dietitian to make sure of what exercises are the best for you. Remember I am here sharing my experience and what works for me.
I have done some Home Workout Videos that I shared on My YouTube Channel; check them out here. Every day I do a different workout that impacts different muscles. I include stretching, cardio, and some ab exercises every day. I made some videos where I share my workout routines. I will be linking them here for you to check them out.
- Monday: I do Biceps and Chest
- Tuesday: Triceps and Back
- Wednesday: Shoulders and Legs
- Thursday: Biceps and Chest
- Friday: Triceps and Back and
- Saturday: Legs and Glutes
- Sundays: take it easy day – I only do shoulders
Some of the equipment that I use are: an agility ladder, a thick mat, jumping rope, different weight dumbells, a stationary spin bike, and a bench. The agility ladder is an equipment that is affordable with numerous benefits and ways to use. If you want to know more you can check out my blog “Agility Ladder Benefits”. The mat that I use is a thick one, not only it covers the floor when exercising, but it’s designed to prevent injuries that can come from slipping, falling, and jumping. I use a jumping rope for cardio and a stationary spin bike as well. And the bench; the one that I have is very versatile and can be used in many ways.
For stretching, I use a foam roller and a massage gun for those days that I have muscle soreness and tightness. Stretching every day is a must before and after exercising, it can help improve flexibility.
The products that I currently use are Protein Powder, creatine, and BCAA. For protein powder, I like the PURE ISO from Strong Physiquez and the Muscle Protein from Colossal Labs. Both of these are great in chocolate flavor. They taste delicious and help me with the chocolate cravings. The protein powders help with muscle growth and also help repair any damaged muscles and tissues. The next product that I use is the creatine; some benefits are enhancing recovery, high-intensity work, and improve the volume of the muscle, strength and power. Lastly, I use BCAA after my workout routine. This helps decrease muscle soreness, exercise fatigue, muscle wasting and increase muscle growth. Those are the products that I use daily. They have been very favorable to me. Before taking any supplement or product I highly suggest that you consult with your doctor.
I wanted to mention that everything here is based on my own experience and what has been beneficial for me. I know that life schedules can be crazy but I am here to tell you that no matter how crazy it is you can do it too.
