Healthy Habits For Busy Moms

If you are a mom like me, I know that you are always doing something, super busy and the schedule can be crazy many times. Behind all of that sometimes we forget about taking care of ourselves because we are always running and doing something. I always try to plan my days, even though at times things go the opposite and I have to be flexible. 

Here I wanted to share with you some tips that will help you feel confident and that you are making progress towards better overall health. This journey is a long one, with lots of learning and having consistency, but taking one step at a time will make a lot of progress in the end. We as moms are always busy, but taking care of ourselves is key in order to enjoy life, our surroundings, and the future. 

Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a working mom these Healthy Tips are especially for you. 

  1. Have a positive mindset towards your body

After maternity, the body is not the same, be grateful for having the opportunity of giving life to beautiful children. Don’t pick on the thing you don’t like from your body, instead, look for the thing you love. And most important don’t be so hard on yourself and don’t compare yourself to others. You are unique and beautiful!

2. If having a workout routine, do it early instead of doing it in the evening

Doing my workout routine in the morning has been so helpful for me. It gives me energy thought out the day and I feel great. If I wait until the evening then I’m too tired and I just want to take a shower and sleep. 

3. Be flexible with yourself and take time for you

Many times thing doesn’t go as planned, so be flexible with yourself and take your time. 

4. Plan you work out routines ahead

By planning your workout routine you know what to do rather than guessing. When not knowing what to do it could take you time, time that you don’t want to waste. 

5. Include your kids

When working out, relaxing, doing yoga, Pilates, or anything, include your kids. I assure you they would enjoy it as well. My kids when they are at home they usually do a workout routine with me and they really like it, plus they use that extra energy. Woohoo!

6. Get creative for those rush days

Maybe you don’t have the time to do a complete workout like you used to, so get creative and do a shorter routine. Plus don’t feel guilty or bad about it. Things happen so just breathe and enjoy. 

7. Have moderation

Don’t restrict your food intake. There are no magic foods, or diet, or pills. Having moderation and balanced nutrition is vital. Many times the word “healthy’ is associated with eating boring, having a strict diet, exercising excessively, or not having any fun. In the reality is completely the opposite, having fun and enjoying the journey while being able to eat delicious foods, exercising in a balanced way. 

8. Don’t give up and remember your why. 

Never give up and remember your why. There are days that are going to be harder than others, so remember why you started and what you want to achieve or accomplish. In order to get there, you need to have consistency and taking one step at a time. You got this!
